논문이란, 학문적 결과물을 일련의 문서로 기술한 것이라 할 수 있다.
이러한 결과물은 독자들에게 읽기 쉬운 형태와 전달하고자 하는 내용의 효율성을 위하여 여러가지 요건들이 필요하다.
본 문서는 여러 단체에서 요구하는 Paper Submission Guideline 을 정리한 것으로 독자들에게 유용할 것이라고 생각한다.

논문은 크게 4가지로 분류 할 수 있다. 그것은 각각 Research, Report, Survey, Tutorial 이다. 각 형태에 대한
큰 맥락은 다음과 같다고 할 수 있다.

• Research papers describe new concepts, algorithms, devices, or experiments. Authors should compare and contrast the described work to related work in the field, and present documented results.
  • 연구논문은 새로운 개념, 알고리즘, 장치, 또는 실험을 기술해야 한다. 저자는 관련 분야의 다른 작업의 결과와 반드시 비교하고 조명하여야 한다.
• Reports on implemented systems or applications should describe the problems to be solved, developmental difficulties, and implementations.
  • 리포트논문은 시스템의 구현이나 해결해야할 응용사례, 개발과 구현의 어려운점을 기술하여야 한다.
• Survey articles should be well-organized presentations of material that is difficult or impossible to find elsewhere.
  • 서베이 논문은 찾기 힘든 자료에 대하여 매우 잘 보여주어야 한다.
• Tutorial articles should develop to an appropriate level of detail a significant topic that is of interest to, but not well known to, a specific fields.
  • 튜토리얼 논문은 중요한 토픽이지만 잘 알려지지 않은 분야에 대하여 일정 수준 이상의 발전을 보여주어야 한다.
